West Coast preimership players David Wirrapanda and Ashley Hansen will add to the Eagles injury problems as they look certain to miss Saturday’s clash with Melbourne.
Hansen rolled his ankle in the Essendon game last Sunday whilst Wirrapanda suffered a serious corked thigh injury.
Coach John Worsfold has hinted that the Eagles might have to play another debutant to cover for the loss of the two crucial players. James Thompson, 20 and Tony Notte, 18 are the two players that could make their debut come Saturday.
Worsfold explained that forward Notte is more likely to play, because he is the only tall option they have to replace Hansen with.
According to the coach, Notte is like all teenagers in that he still needs to develop mentally and physically over the next few years but is good enough to play AFL football at this moment.
