Controversial Brisbane Lions recruit Brendan Fevola has reportedly been axed from the AFL’s television advertising campaign set for the opening rounds of the forthcoming AFL season.

Reports today reveal the former Carlton forward was going to feature in the campaign, but the commercial has been changed.

In the past week Big Bad Fev has been embroiled in another controversy, this time after allegations were made that he took and circulated naked photos of bikini model Lara Bingle.

The news comes as the AFL is investigates the claims Fevola circulated the photo to other footballers.

Fev, who was sacked last year by the Blues because of drunken misbehaviour at the Brownlow Medal count, has denied he sent the photo to other players, but Bingle is reportedly taking legal action against him.

News reports today said the AFL was going to feature Fev in the TV campaign, but the commercial has now been altered to remove any reference to the forward.

It would appear that despite given a second chance by the club, the Lions are experiencing The Fevola Effect, which refers to the fallout clubs and players face because of the misbehaviour and scandals of other bad boy players.
