Porplyzia will rest the shoulder for the next two to three weeks.
Porplyzia’s injury adds to Adelaide’s forward woes after Brett Burton also went down with a season ending knee injury.
Trent Hentschel remains susceptible to soft tissue injuries on his long road back from knee surgery in late 2006.
In other injury news Gary Ablett is a chance to play this week after he rolled his ankle in Geelong’s big win over Fremantle while Cameron Ling will almost certainly miss four with a fractured cheek bone.
Brisbane has also received another blow with Matthew Leuenberger out for the rest of the AFL season following knee surgery.
