The Crows have delisted 150-gamer Robert Shirley and injury-prone forward Nick Gill ahead of next month’s NAB AFL Draft.
Shirley played in his 150 match during the season but obviously didn’t prove his worth as he was cut from the list, along with five other players from the senior list including Greg Gallman, Aaron Kite and Tom Lee who failed to play a game.
Shirley played 11 games this season and has earned high praise from Brownlow Medallist stars Gary Ablett and Chris Judd, who said he is one of the toughest taggers in the league.
The continual development of the playing list, was the major decision for delisting Shirley according to Crow’s football operations manager John Reid.
