Adelaide’s Brett Burton’s future could be decided by next week.
The talented Crow is finding it hard to recover from a knee reconstruction which has resulted in serious doubt over his future at the club.
Burton will be given an answer as to whether he remains an important part of the playing list, as soon as the club has its next list management meeting.
The 30-year-old said he expects to know where he is heading by next week. He added that he is expecting to receive a new one-year deal.
The high flying forward was enjoying career best form before he was injured against the Magpies in round 15.
Burton will miss the start of next season, but made it clear he wants to play one more year.
