Denis Cometti should stick to calling football matches, that’s all I’ll say.

Getting very sick of Cometti. It is quite obvious he sits at home trying to think of witty comments then does his utmost to work them into the game when it is not even relevant. Stick to the call of the game. And then you have Mr nothing Harley who will not make a statement. Every time there is a clear free kick missed or a poor decision he is a gutless twerp who is either quiet or says “that might have been interrupted differently by the umpire.” Have some guts and say it is a poor decision or a missed free kick. He is to afraid of being slapped on the wrist from the AFL. At least Matthews calls a spade a spade. He speaks up and has genuine input.

Cometti is the best caller in Australia by a long way.
I like the tune and so does my girlfriend.

Agreed Wiz. Commetti used to be a clever commentator but it’s now so obvious that he is using his so called witticisms out of context and far too often. Perhaps has gone a couple of seasons too many.

So his commnet when Natanui was “adjusting” himself in an after match interview and Cometti said “theres a man coming to grips with AFL football”, was out of context? By far the best and cleverest commentator by a mile.
