The last game of the B Grade season takes place at fremantle oval this saturday 230pm between the 2 newly promoted to A Grade sides in Collegians and Maddington…

Collegains coming off a convincing 10 goal victory in the 2nd semi and a week off to freshen up take on a maddington outfit that will be nothing les than confident after knocking off the rest of the top 5 sides!

It promises to be an obsorbing battle on the open spaces of fremantle oval with the leg speed and skill of collegains taking on the ex sunday league style of maddington.

Expect a big crowd at freo oval with collegians having all 3 sides playing off in the big one!

Tips, predictions, vital match ups, banter bring it on!!!!!! Cause in a few days the time for talk is over!!!

Collegians by 4 goals for mine in the league
collegians by 6 goals in the ressies
collegians by 5 goals in the colts

who ever wins, well done Maddington for getting to A grade, i was personally one of the ones saying the sunday league teams are not as good as they think, but to come in the way maddington have and go stright up to A grade is impressive, will be watching with interest next year.

Maddo by 13 points! Going to be an absolute rippa, Maddo’s big man forward line is going to take some stopping. Expect a BRUTAL first quarter with Wilkes, Harvey and Napoli bruising some bodies!!

SFFC just make sure you have enough piss. Ran out in 2008 to our amazement…

Said all year Maddo were a class act. Just dont think they will stand a chance against Collegians. They will come out and hit hard. Catialino will sharpen his elbows but it wont matter. Its going to be a fine day and Collegians will just run too hard for the bigger bodied Maddington players…

Will be like a race between a 1964 Range Rover and a Ferrari. One will hit hard all day and expect to knock the other off the track… The other however will have too much pace and jump them at the start and enjoy the ride out in front and have time to put the top down and enoy the sun in the later stages..

With a full list to choose from Collegians will win B grade by 8 goals.

well done to maddington. not only well deserved due to their hard work on field but were very accomodating and gracious to us when we played them at their home turf. i will certainly be happy to see you get up. stick it up collegians. they are as arrogant a team i have seen, with the exception of a couple of players.

I dont believe the size of the oval will too much of a factor for Maddington. They know how to stay in a game and their skill on a big oval should keep them in a contest. Their results so far this year have demonstrated that when everyone was writing em off.

The experience that this team have of playing finals together and winning finals over the last 5-6 years (only last 2 in ammies) should hold them well. They have also beaten Collegians this year which shouldn’t be forgotten.

I’m not a Maddo person or supporter but i know that these guys being underdogs with nothing to lose makes em very dangerous opposition. The pressure is on Collegians, can they hold their nerve ?

I’m catching the train boys. Going down to Fremantle to see the David v Golliath battle for the B Grade honours. As some of the posters have said. Collegians everything to lose.....Maddo everything to gain.

Will you be playing DP?
I think the Maddo steam train will come to a grinding halt Sat arvo to the tune of 10+ goals.
Still a huge effort to get from C to B to A in couple of seasons though.

Maddo are already winners this season - win or loose this week. Best of luck boys, really hope they can get the win on the board, but it is unlikely.

I know everybody hates to be remined about predictions but pre-season I stated that Maddington would be Collegains greatest threat. Virtually everybody ridiculed the idea that they could actually make the five let alone get into A Grade with just the one season in B, after being promoted from C Grade.

This represents the biggest test in the clubs history.

If heart and courage account for anything they will be competitive.

Make no mistake The College did not want this match up.

Footy can produce against the odds and if any of The College Boys have doubts they will become abundantly clear on Saturday.

Should be a beauty.

Maddo by 3 points in a hard, tough and fairly fought match.
