A big win for the black ducks and dismal performance from the tigers sees swans become our new premier favourites.
They were favourites to start the season, so will be alot of pressure on the boys to perfrom now.
Hansen and their big AFL and ex-AFL contingent look strong.
The loss of Jones for claremont may prove to be too big to come back....

Fair call westernbulldogs, I’ll reserve my judgement on my Finals favourite till when both AFL Clubs (Freo , WC) release their list of players who can play finals footy??
The little hiccup by CL yesterday is just that , could be a good wake up call leading into the finals and I think they had a few players missing yesterday that would normally be in their team, I am sure T10 and Tesy’s will enlighten me…

I think Clartemont deeserve to be favourites as they were head and shoulders out in front for the minor season. A new season starts on Sunday and any of the sides could win it something that hasnt happened for a long time

Swans go into the 2nd semi as favourites....Hansen up forward and Dawson leaving, add their finals experience over the last 3 years.
Saw McPhee leave the 3/4 time huddle and being interviewed by ABC TV, was very relaxed, not worried at all. Thought I read somewhere that St Kilda’s coaching staff told their players to pull back in the last quarter as it was more important to get through the game than win and lose players as they already knew who they were facing in the finals. Could be the same at Claremont. Very spiteful game at times, Walton went off for stitches, Schammer nearly got an elbow to the head by no.30. A lot of 50 metre penalties. Game meant more to East Perth than Claremont, without Jones why show your hand too early before the finals. Silvagni got reported, Brabazon was held back a bit. That said, there were a couple of very “fickle” AFL listed players that I’d prefer not to run out for us.
If we lose to Swans in the 2nd semi I’d be very confident of playing either East Freo or East Perth.
Forgot that Foster was “rested”, makes a big difference having him.
