Sorry about being a bit late this week...Been flat out like a lizard

This goes without saying a crucial game. EP and Cla game also of interest as we need CLA to win to get us in the 4… I suspect we will do the job and also CLA to give us a game against EF at Moss street the week after but we will see.

Broadcast by 107.9 FM - Of interest EP V CLA ABCTV and 720 6WF

Weather: Saturday Partly cloudy.  Min 7 Max 23

Umpires for the game

Umpires Field: David O’Neill, Mark Bowden, Ryan Shelton
Boundary: Hugo Robinson, Lachlan Kennedy
Goal: Kendell Ball, Simon Thomas

Sides are below and we are at our strongest for this game in my book. Dont know who is playing AFL but suspect we could get Lynchy? Good to see Luke Tedesco back after a couple of good games in the ressies comming back from injury.
Frank Stockley could be back as well…

Overall record: West Perth won
183, Perth won 146, Drawn 5
Overall grand final record: West
Perth won 1, Perth won 0

.....

Reserves

Vital game for our Reserves as well and best of luck to Paul Sanzone and his team of Cardinals.
Will be early there to watch this as well. Mitch Andrews has gone back to Ressies along with Tom Crossland and Matt Tedesco...will be a couple of others from the league extended list so should be good enough to get over the line.

I see Perth are leaving form players in the Reserves rather than elevate them to give themselves the best chance and why not..It does work in our favour as the League side will not be their strongest side.

Perth will be out for a win to give them a Finals 4 spot. It is knockout game for both sides.
If WP wins and EP lose we will goto 3rd spot....Home final option but I suggest the game will be played at EF oval before the league side all going well.

The Ladder

Claremont 62
East Fremantle 56
East Perth 52
West Perth..50
Perth..........48

Seeya at the game Grassy…

Well end of the road for WP League thanks to CLA Choking early. In fairness to CLA though they really had nothing to play for today and EP had it all so don’t be deceived by the result.
I noticed listening to the end of the game the EP supporters Booed the umpires off even though they won. It goes a long way to explain the mentality and immaturity of a lot of EP supporters. red face
I know there are exceptions to the rule.

Our Colts went down by a big margin but watch out next year as the group is working well together now.

Congratulations to Perth who fought out the game against us and I am sure they will be a power next year under a new coach.

Ressies played a excellent game and Ran over Perth so they will be carrying the Red and Blue Flag again this year. All the best to Paul and his group in the weeks ahead. It was great to see the guys who had been dropped from the league put in 110% and it shows the character and spirit in the club.

Look like WAFL will be on next Sunday due to the Dockers Home game on Saturday which has yet to be confirmed.

Our Reserves will be playing at EF oval before the EF V FERALS game. I will certainly be at both those games and giving EF my support.
Both Colts finals will also be played at EF from what I heard as a double header. Not sure how they are going to do that?

So if you want to see the Red and Blue in action next week get down and support our Reserves who are looking good…

Depending on next weeks result will be Hooking up and heading North for a bit of Fishing.

Finally I would like to Congratulate Bill and his Team at WP for a great effort. Proud to be a member of a Club who never gives up. Our league team performed above expectations. We lost a couple we should of won and won a couple we could of lost but thats Footy.

Catchya all next year.

Yeh Cardy, bit of a hollow victory, Perth played well and we played to just get over the line, sad to see Chambers and Lasscock get carried from the ground after they found out that EP beat CL, and that was the last hit out for those two premiership champions, good luck to them both..

Lets hope the rezzies can go all the way this time, good luck to them…

Sad way for two very good servants to end their careers, having to look up at the scoreboard at the other results to see if their careers were over or not. But it summed up the shitty situation we were in.

It all comes down to that **** pitiful performance against Peel earlier in the year. I don’t give a **** what anyone says. That game **** our season and I said after that game that we didn’t deserve to play finals and that is exactly the case today. EP deserve to play finals, we don’t. I **** hate EP they are captained by a thug and their advertising for memberships this year was a disgrace but they are mentally tough and win the important games. We don’t. EP play with passionn and step up when it counts. They don’t drop games to **** Peel Thunder.

Changes need to be made over the off season. We have gone backwards this year no doubt about it. Changes to coaching staff and the leadership group need to be very well looked at.

Almost getting knocked off today by **** Perth sums up how mentally fragile we are. With so much to play for we played with very little instensity and passion, whereas EP would of been ferocious today. That’s the difference.

The boys didnt sing the song . Bill thanked the boys and put our season down to two bad game losses. He instructed any player eligible to play in the reserves to go into the other room and said he will speak to all players over the next few weeks. Back to guitar practice for me. East Perth deserve to be in the four, they have won something like seven out of their last eight games and are a lot harder, they will rattle the cage.

Well done Chambers and Lasscock on great careers!..I was listening to Ep v Cl while watching our romp against Peel and texting with Leedy at the same time and i actually felt gutted for WP today and if there was such a thing as karma then the ferrals would have have lost. I hate EP too but what do they have coming through compared to you guys? I think the future will be good for WP as not many tipped you to finish above 7th or 8th. I was at the Peel game with Leedy that day and that was definately the one that cost you

Sorry to see your guys out of it.  Pity to see the ferral maggots make the finals in front of WP.  Would have enjoyed an EF v WP final more.

A Swans / Old Easts Grand Final would be great. Mind you Claremont have done bloody well considering they finished seventh last year.

Yea you are right Falcon , what about the two ripper marks that Anton Saylor took , one at each end of the ground . I believe Perth had something like eight colts players today.

I had to come back for one more post on this subject… I suggest some supporters e.g Robbo and company pull their heads out of their arse. We must look at the positives in this season in the club.
One loss doesnt make a season as one player doesnt make a club. I am sick of hearing about the Peel game.

We missed out on he four by percentage only not win loss ratio.
EP had the higher percentage so their win/loss points were less or more than ours.
At the start of the season many wrote us off.
Other clubs e.g Subi who went out on a good note had one less win than either club yet won by a bucketful today to finish off their season.

I suggest Winger after our win today they should of sang the club song.
Bill as the head coach should of applauded the guys for their effort this year and said a few words about Junior and Callums retirement.
From you post it appears he was negative in his actions.
The WPFC is better than that and we have SEEN A LOT WORSE.
The club and Bill must be admired for the ability to blood so many players and considering the major injuries to Key players we must be happy with the result and the effort by the Playing group.
We played 20 games Won 11 and lost 9 - in any other season that would of been enough for Finals Footy..  EP record is the same. Subi Played 20 Lost won 10 and lost 10....So HOW MANY PEELS DID THEY PLAY and that is my point…

Bit hard for some to comprehend I know but that is Footy and thats how it goes.
EP dont deserve to be in the 4 because they won a few games Winger as they WON NO MORE GAMES THAN US AND THE ONLY REASON THEY ARE IN THE 4 IS BECAUSE OF PERCENTAGE.
I suggest instead of patronizing OTHER clubs you support your club.

Robbo I hope your membership at EPFC in 2011 makes you a happy person as your demur will suit that club. You did say in a previous post you were not going to renew your membership well I say GOOD BLOODY RIDDANCE..

Go you mighty Cardies

Lets see how many turn up at the Ressies game next Sunday....If you love your club you will be there.
