Which AFL players will we get back for the finals?

I have it as:
Swift
Wilkes
Stevenson

But not sure about:
Fyfe who I have at 4 games
Mackenzie who I have at 3
Suban at 3
Brett Jones at 3
McGinnity at 2

Not sure if they have had a few emergencies which would also qualify as WAFL games. Still I wouldn’t go with too many AFLers.

I reckon Swift, Wilkes, Stevenson, Mackenzie and Brett Jones would be handy.

T10, a nice to have come selection time but at the business end of our season I would not be expecting McPhee to be playing any AFL player if it upset the mix & focus we have at present.
Jones is out for the season with a fractured cheek bone I believe.
I don’t believe there is any rule or obligation stating that their WAFL club has to play their AFL players in finals if available is there??? Hope not anyway.

I’ll take Neates, Wilkes, Schammer and Stevenson....possibly Fyfe if he was allowed. The rest I’d say thanks...but no thanks. They come back with their confidence shot, skill level below par.

Don’t quite follow your question and the number of “?”.....but anyway, Neates, Wilkes and Stevenson all played on Saturday, so no one would be dropped to accommodate them. For Schammer ...possibly Chidzey who has been in and out all season, for Fyfe it would be Ross. Then again, I didn’t want Swift so Schammer could replace him and Chidzey and Ross fight out for a spot with young Murphy. Perhaps you got me mixed up with T10?

Don’t read anything into the “?” it was just a question. I’d love to see young Murphy back in the side, and how did Thompson go yesterday, would of thought he will need a few games to tune up, which we don’t have, but with Hansen coming back for Swans a strong tall down back would help. It will be very interseting to see who we play this week & who we have to select from for the 2nd semi. Rowe & Chidzey have been good of late & the rythym & focus in the main group really peaking perfectly for finals IMO. I wouldn’t read too much into yesterdays Swans v’s Perth result if they didn’t come back from the week before I would of been more surprised and the 2nd placed team shouldn’t be 2nd if it didn’t belt the 2010 wooden spooners just before finals.

Not sure if Thomo played, wasn’t named in the best players or goal scorers for the Magoos yesterday. If Thomo is fit, Wilkes and he can tag-team on Hansen, though it might be tempting to use MacKenzie if he is allowed....prefer not to.
Rowe has been outstading, back to the form that saw him play in 2007. Chidzey...I’m not sold on, tough nut but turns the ball over.
As I said before....Wilkes, Neates, Schammer and Stevenson and possibly Fyfe if he’s allowed.....maybe MacKenzie if Hansen worries them too much, the rest no thanks (McGinnity, Swift, Suban etc).
May well see some players rested this week. Murphy has got to play, then there’s Orzel. Ruck and Derickx are proving more than a handful when they rest up forward, interesting times ahead.

Would you take Laurie out of the equation if McKenzie was available? The young fella has had a good year, and a solid game against EP would really prove his match fittness.

Laurie to take Gaeppen (spelling?), MacKenzie last resort, only if match ups show they need height.

I agree from what little I have heard, young Jess Laurie has seemed to have Geappen’s measure in the short times he has played on him.
Let’s get through this week against a revitalized EP first.
Cheers

Thommo played yesterday and when I was following it live on line it said he kicked a goal? the bloody WAFL live score thingo is crap! Yesterday had no colts results at all then when the ressies were on it only had Claremonts score. I was thinking wow this is great WP havent even scored yet and its the 3rd quarter!

I think the team is performing so well at present you wouldn’t drop anyone! I mean in the past 3 games we have beaten Subi by 51 Swans by 73 and WP by 68 why would you mess with that form?

I cant think of one player you would drop. You’re right Mr T maybe Chidgzey as we seem to be top heavy with smaller type players but he was outstanding against Subi a few weeks back.

One of the great elements of the team this year has been the even spread of best players. There are the usual suspects like Richo, Foster, Blacky, Brabba, Jones etc but when they have been down in recent times you have had Rowe, Franz, Anderson, Mitchell, Neates and Walton who have stood up.
