They may as well forfeit & give them the four points!

They could well find themselves having to answer to the powers that be. They’ve basically rolled for this game, some clubs may not be too happy.

They mightn’t be too happy with themselves if they find themselves losing BOTH games in the next fortnight.

Talk about PLAYING WITH FIRE! shut eye

Harveys done the right thing, they would have lost in Tassie with the injuries and lack of form. They have a better chance to beat Carlton next week. The Dockers are floundering at the moment, Pav needs a rest Sandilands can only benefit from a further week off and the same for the others being rested. The only thing I might say is he maybe should have done it a few weeks ago, he may have thought that they would beat Sydney and he then could have spread it out over 2 weeks.
Good on him.

That’s right!  Don’t like when teams flirt with form especially so close to the finals.  If results fall against them this weekend & then they happen to get beaten by Carlton, they will finish 7th & miss out on a home final.

I tell you who would be spitting chips tonight and that’s North Melb - Hawthorn win & that’s the end of their chances of making the 8.

Incredible...Murphy didnt fire a shot in anger last week and wasnt even up to WAFL level… Clarke the same in Dockers game.
I agree with you Strono It is a disgrace.
Harvey could of got into 4th spot but decided to get out of that as would of played Collingwood in the first game… Going for a home final.
Sounds like he could shit in his own nest.\
Dont be surprised if the AFL investigates this and there will be more come from it.

Nothing illegal but they will be checking the fine print.

The AFL needn’t talk. They might be INVESTIGATED themselves if Allegations of WRONGFULLY Spying on Players IMPLICATE them.

Maybe the AFLPA need a KICK UP the ARSE from time to time with all their BLEATING,but if the AFL did resort to Underhanded methods, the SHIT WILL HIT THE FAN if Investigations(TAXATION DEPT,ASIC?) turn out to be DEADLY SERIOUS.

I think Cardy 4th Spot proved just beyond them in the end.But they should be STRIVING for 14 Wins REGARDLESS!And then start again with FINALS FOOTBALL from 5th.And then Take it as Far as they can.

I dcan’t believe they seriously think they can Limit the damage with the approach they are taking here.As I said before they are PLAYING WITH FIRE and a BAD LOSS here might not be so easily overturned the following week. And the they enter the Finals from 8th and in DESPERATELY BAD FORM.

Hope I’m wrong, because HAWTHORN supporters as we know can be INSUFFERABLY UNBEARABLE when they emerge from the WOODWORK.And then even WORSE,they play CARLTON next week,.....SHIT! shut eye

spot on roman - harvs obviously has a crystal ball - upsets happen - and despite giving players a day off Carlton are still good things for Friday night footy next week.

Insufferable?  Woodwork? What are you talking about Grassy we are hopeless all of the time.

North Melbourne would be spewing as they had a slim chance if the Hawks lost both. Harvey has to look after his own and its a good move. By resting players and avoiding this long road trip and playing a physical side he can get his boys up for a crack at the finals.
Bagging them and calling them a disgrace is a bit far fetched as we don’t really know what happening down at the port and maybe some of these boys need a week.

Cards not a thing they can do. OH & S, the boys are sore and are at a risk of injuring themselves if they play. The league is big on player protection “allegedly”.

I hope they thump Carlton by 100 points to show they are right. Then they can play Carlton twice in a week at home after the blues finish 8th and the Dockers 5th.
No way can Carlton come up twice over here
This way the boys are back and fresh going into the second week of finals at least with some chance rather than sore and sorry and no chance.
Plus as a bonus the Hawks can possibly now finish 6th which would give them a home final against the Swans and no travel during the finals. that makes them a threat. Yee haaa come on September my favourite month of the year
