Opportunity knocks for someone.....didn’t require him against Swans. He may have made them too “Chad Jones” focussed. Time will tell.

Wonder if that will alter the way AFL clubs will look at him.....already had a shot with North and the Eagles. We’ve re-signed so he won’t be off to any other WAFL club if he misses out.

guess that means they will just kick 10 goals more than the opp on GF day rather than 20 with him.

Had 9 goal scorers against 2nd placed Swans, so won’t be a major problem given the depth at the club.....the Reserves had a huge win on Saturday.....opportunity just openned the door for someone at Claremont...can see the tempo at training increasing as “fringe” players come to terms with the chance given to them..."one door closes another opens”

Was it a coincidence that when Jonesy went off we played a lot better? I have said before the players tend to look for him too much. A good defender like Ames can keep pace with him and just spoil his lead or sides drop someone back in defense to block his run. I have never liked the thought of relying on one person to kick goals.

Look at Richmond. Hasnt taken long before sides have worked Reiwoldt out.

Looked so much better when we had options like Ruck, Derrickx, Foster and Richo to kick goals. Besides Jonesy hasnt been the same since he came back, he hasnt been kicking for goal that well, missed an absolute sitter on Saturday. I think his hand and that glove stuffed him up a bit.

It also means Ninyette gets into the play a bit more.

Preferably yes I would have him in the side as on his day he is unstoppable but I reckon we can still beat Swannies without him as demonstrated on the weekend.
