gotta disagree oldschooleagle...today WCE is one of the most supported and wealthiest clubs in the AFL so BC didnt damage the brand or image too much.  The current on-field plight of the club has nothing to do with Cousins...imo, its a result of poor recruiting, coaching staff who have lost the playing group, flawed or almost non-existent game plan and a unfortunate run of injuries.

Agreed RR good post.

Yep, agree with all that RR & Talking Footy but I don’t think the off & on field stuff are totally mutually exclusive - not these days. The culture of the club is a mind set & the players, particularrly teh senior group such as Cox, Kerr, Embley, Lynch etc, take that out on the field each week with the “new breed” in tow.

I agree with KR etc, if Ben had of kept his head on then Judd would have stayed & we wouldnt be in the predicament we are in now. I’m not saying we would be winning a flag but we would be a hell of a lot better. The bottom line is his actions were far more negative than they were positive.

Even if Cousins behaved himself and on the unlikely chance Judd had stayed in Perth, he would be the only quality midfielder in the club at present given Cousins has or is about to retire, Kerr is injury prone and no other midfielders of class are emerging which to me is a recruiting/player development issue...so for mine, the effect of Cousins on the club is becoming less and less relevant.
