Still,I just HAVE TO ASK!

Which POLLIE Couldn’t wait to tell anyone interested that WEST POWER didn’t have anyone to Answer to anyone after the 1st INQUIRY?

Couldn’t have YOU could it could have been,COL?

Hmmmmm,Let me just CHECK the RECORDS and Transcripts on behalf of the people of WA,not just WA.

Why Not S & S?

He virtually RUSHED Forth to tell ALL and SUNDRY how Westpower were in the Clear after the Joke of a 1st Inquiry. And then slipped quietly back into the shadows when it was RIDICULED Far and Wide.

Pollies often count on the SHORT Memories of the Public and Dopey Media and on this Occassion Barnett GOT AWAY WITH BLUE MURDER.

If he didn’t,some of the Anger directed towards the QLD and NSW State Governments may well have applied here.Lucky you Col!

its a matter of choice hay,i bought a house and live in an area where there is a problem with anti-social behaviour type people.i knew the problem and i accepted that problem.i also took out apropriate insurance.
The toodyay folks live in a fire risk place, they know the risks.and hay from what ive heard lots were either not insured or very under insured.
just sayin deal with ya own decisions and dont try finding someone else to blame

i did vote liberal and always have.
i have also a reform to add to the voting system that exists here.currently we must ‘compulsory vote’ which means dumbos who aint got any idea about the political system either dont roll up to vote, put in a donkey vote or vote informal.to me this is stupid.my system will that everyones vote will count in a proper manner

no i want compulsory voting.
my system will make everyone vote, but they will have the option to tick the ‘i dont care’ box.this way a true idea will be gained who the people want in their area.the informal vote is a joke and i can fix that problem..why have votes given to people just for the sake of having to vote for someone?  mate arfa is just crankin up for the next election

Wouldn’t that add up to an INFORMAL Vote anyway Arfa?

By the way, maybe people should have Insured themselves better.Or in some form.

But that doesn’t excuse WESTPOWER one little bit.Nor a Government that seems to be making excuses for them.

yes grassy in effect it would gain the same result.but my way will give people a real option if they dont care, rather than just voting for someone they know nothing about.i know my local member real well and he got my vote, but my partner had no idea and didnt really care and she voted for the other bloke.end result is basically my vote was cancelled out.my system will show results for candidates for people who really voted for them rather than just casting a vote because they have to.

and toodyay is a rural area with certian local conditions pervailing, insurance against bushfires comes to mind.get on with it and stop looking for others to blame.

Would you like to go the Community Hall in Toodyay Arfa and Tell them to “Get on with it and stop looking for others to blame” ?I don’t think so!

And by keeping the Clowns away S & S,just whom do think that might benefit politically?I thought today’s Tories Hated ELITISM?Who are you to judge on who or shouldn’t get a vote?

gidday grassy, when making decisions for the better of the community it sometimes take someone with balls.i would have no problems explaining to the people of toodyay the reasons i feel this way.
But explaining to the rest of the W.A community why we have to fork out(compensation etc) to people who may of ignored their insurance requirements in what is acknowledged as a fire risk area, that would be just massive compared to some local community hall meeting of locals.

And the bigger picture is.. people with insurance are covered.. but an event like that is a massive hit for insurers. If they don’t get their money back from Western Power (which they should be entitled to recover), premiums go up for everyone.

As arfa said.. don’t take the chance.. insure your place ESPECIALLY in fire prone areas.
