Has anyone tried to book tickets on the Ticketmaster web site for the footy? My god what an epic journey it is! I am trying to book tickets for the final round match for Richmond Vs Port at Etihad as it looks like being Ben Cousins last game and also I havent been across to watch the tigers this year and we may just have a chance of winning this one.

The absolute crap you have to go through for something as simple as booking a few seats is ludicrous!

First of all you have to find the match, then you have to select the price you want to pay then (and this is the main hassle) there is this security system where you have to writeout two random and made up words designed to stop robots booking tickets. The words are absolutely ridiculous I just had “Maroux45, Tourient”

The problem is the words are written in this weird font style that makes it hard to understand what they actually say. Three goes at it and then another 3 mins later they throw up these random seats.

You go to check out where they actually are and the map they provide of the ground is hard to read and hard to understand. The seats will say something like N16 row H seats 5 and 6 but the map only has sections written as Aisle 5 and so on!! aggggghhhh!

No I dont wont those seats, so then you go back and start again, do the stupid security word thingo again only to have the same seats offered to you again!

Surely they could make it like the airlines where you easily get navigated to the selection section and click on the actual seat/s you want. In the end I just gave up and used the good old telephone!

You could just turn up at the gate and get a decent ticket for that game - so much better (and cheaper) in Melbourne

I am constantly amazed when I go to Melbourne that you can walk up to the gate on game day, pay about $20 and get a decent seat at a quality stadium (either Docklands or MCG). Wish you could do that in Perth

well the old stadium debate will never end until they do something about it - perhaps 2056?
