Heres a little bit of input from myself. Not a member of PFC but interested in who will be the new Coach.

Heard from a source Cameron Shepard high on the list...Tried for the Subi Job and failed along with some others. Assistant? at that club at one stage and has the credentials..
A bit more background at

http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/sport/a/-/wafl/6231188/waterman-eyes-subiaco-post/

Heard Earl Spalding interviewed this morning and said would consider any offer for position at
a Club?  Just threw him in the mix. Didnt he have a past Coaching job at a WAFL club?
No source just my idea..

Now here comes the conspiracy theory picked up on a Radio Talkback show think it was on ABC sportstalk with Glen. Judge and Dorro...Sounded good to me..

Sumich

Contract runs out at the end of the year. Possibly dropped and Woosher contines on in 2011?

Here heres the plan..
Sumich would goto Perth and still have his Eagles connections.
Sumich would try and create a Eagles WAFL side from Perth and Lathlain
(by stealth)
WCE is open about their wish for WAFL side and the use of Lathlain read

http://www.wa.liberal.org.au/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=2536:irons-calls-for-west-coast-eagles-to-move-to-lathlain&Itemid=144

There have been other articles in the press on this issue

Motivation would be to make Perth Stronger and give Eagles a leg in the WAFL?
Financial benefits to Perth
Over a period of time the Eagles could increase player strength at Perth by stacking with Eagles
(WAFL approved)

Just some thoughts for debate…

Comments on this Demons and others?

I am glad you said conspiracy theory because thats all it is.

It wont happen. This reserves idea has been around for a long time and got nowhere.

Do you think the PFC for one would go for this?No way plus the members would have to vote on it.

Collingwood don’t win the 2011 flag,Swan districts finish 8th and the Eagles finish 4th,Thats a pretty sweet year!!

So the cutoff date for Applications.. 31 Aug I read in the FootBudget add (below)
Then another period while your Committee goes through them.

I notice it is for a part time coach as well. I really think if a club is to have success in this day and age Clubs should have a full time coach. I am not sure how many WAFL Clubs have full time coaches.
Anyone who can supply this info??? I assume the cost factor would come into it but surely getting a Full time coach would attract a better quality of coach?
Then again we have the coaches who hope to use success at a WAFL club as a stepping stone to AFL.
Jarman certainly missed out there..

It probably doesnt exist and you know i know that but do you for one minute think the club would act on such a thing without the members voting on it??
Or in your opinion do you think the club doesnt give a stuff about the membership?

Cardy I like the conspiracy theory. Sounds good to me. Grassy will be disappointed he didn’t start this conspiracy though, Maybe the WAFC will quash this before it starts . What do you think Grassy?

I think the Eagles influence was over rated in their flags, they had a pretty good list on their own and Micale isn’t a bad coach.

Yes they keep trying EPFC dont they mate… Signed up some big ones this year
Wirra - no more games and he cant dance either.. lucky he has a lot of Eagles fans with mobiles
Lovett - Charged with rape… not guilty until he has his day in court but no EP games
Who was the other one..

They keep trying to take shortcuts....Remember when they did a huge recruiting thing from eastern states… What a flop.
Maybe they should just stop trying to buy a premiership and play some good footy.
They wont make the 4 and if Clarkey is kept at the Dockers for a couple of games they have no hope.

So I wonder what their plan is for next year???????  Cant wait

You are kidding aren’t you mrevil! They went from cellar dwellars like us to three premierships. It was definately the Eagle influence and anyone without East Perth bias can see that.

While doing a bit of research on Cameron Shephard came across this para on who had applied for the Coaching position at Subi last year...Do you think any of them will have a go for the position at Perth??? Thoughts on this group?

Quote

Former AFL heavyweights Martin Pike, Anthony Rock, Darren Bewick and Brian Royal are also vying for the prized role left vacant when Watters accepted an assistant coaching position with Collingwood earlier this week.

Lions support staff Cam Shepherd, David Sierakowski, Jarrad Schofield and Paul Vines are also in contention.

Yeah, 1999 was a shocker for East Perth (8th), but the previous three years we made the finals (2nd, 4th & 4th).  Tony Micale galvanised the core group of players in the 2000-02 hat-trick - Barnard, Butcher, Knights, Perry, Ridley, Swan and Wheatley - who’d either gone off the boil or just joined the club in Kevin Worthington’s last season as coach (1999).

How many of those were on the Eagles list?

ELECTION STUNT by Mr Irons to gain some extra votes in a MARGINAL seat.

No way WEST COAST would even bother despite the “We’d consider it"Mantra.

Other thing is,before the club could even consider it,the other 8 clubs would vote on it.

That’s 8 - 0 AGAINST.

And then there’s US.If we got ROLLED by such an INSIDIOUS IDEA and we’re told we had NO SAY in it,then THAT’SM THE DAY I Would Walk from this club.

We’ve struggled for years and it’s still gunna be a long haul. But the very idea of WEST COAST Using us as a PAWN(Nothing less)in WORSFOLD and SUMICH’S AGGENDA is SICK.And a BETRAYAL of what many PERTH Supporters BELIEF including the PRESIDENT in PERTH as a Club and the WAFL Competition.

NOT ON!
