Wilson and Shuey in this week, amazing. Even more amazing, Shuey starting in the midfield.

I hope he gets to play the last three games, and Wilson would not have to do much to do more than McKinley. Hopefully Houlihan can get 1 or 2 into him before the end of year, too.

On the players mentioned Ado - Ebert, Swift, Dalziel, Butler and Nicoski - Yes Nicoski should be just about done. Ebert is just there as a priddis replacement I feel. Butler was in very good form early in the year and did a great job on some smalls… that said, not sure how long you can keep persisting with guys who just don’t have the luck with injury. Dalziell will be around another year then gone (assuming he has a 2 year deal), but Swift is about the only one of that group who showed run and carry as a young bloke and will be persisted with for a number of years to come.

Head here to have a look at his highlights and tell me he didnt show plenty of dash and was especially good in clearance situations:

Wellsy if i recall correctly Mc Kinley looked like he could have been a gun when he first started. Seemed to have it all together. I can remeber some matches when he was on fire and seemed unstoppable. What do you think has made him nowadays (not meaninf to be disrepectfull here) look like a hack. I’d take him a chance with him at the cats, on what i have seen of him in his earlier days.
how bout a straight swap for blake!!!

McKinley was never a gun,was back then and is now the laziest most disinterested footballer i have seen in a long time, knows only one pace, slow motion.
As far as i am concerned if any club wants him for a suitable swap the Eagles should take it.
By the way you can keep that spud Blake.

Worse than Mc Dougall??????????????????

McDougall has had a very good year in the wafl, the topic was afl players wasnt it?????????????????????

Unka I thought Houlihan had a lot of potential. Are you telling me he’s another one who can’t kick?

He has had a long time out with injury so he won’t be great overnight. One thing he did show last year was a bit of dash and ability to rack up the possessions. His disposal has been pretty ordinary - I really just hope he gets a run for a bit of confidence to lead into pre-season.

Rosa is a similar player who has improved his kicking drastically over a few years ago so I always hold hope for these blokes - apply yourself and you CAN improve your skills (if you want to work hard enough).

Which takes us back to McKinley, good on the lead, good grab, good kick - WHEN he is applying himself. Unfortunately it is just all too rare now and one of a few who we can probably get a decent trade for, because he has shown that potential and in the right side, who knows.
