All four sides lost and by big margins, only the little league showed some promise.
Did the ressies field a full side or were they short and is the colts still playing 15 yr olds.

Even the little leaguers from Kingsley were belted, restricted to no score by my brother’s West Coast JFC. (He was not happy about playing in a a Tigers jumper, let me tell you )
The lack of depth is scary. Maybe I could get a game for the colts?

I thought we tried pretty hard, the commitment was there and it was pretty physical, may have distracted the tigers for a while but their skill level was way above ours. We had so many unforced turnovers that they pounced on. Thought their rucks did a good job covering Rix, not may winners apart from Broardy who continues to perform at the highest level week in week out, 4 goals from limited opportunities and with crap delivery was terrific. Some AFL club could do worse than look at him for a late draft pick, particularly the Wet toasters as nobody there can kick goals besides LeCras.
Tough 3 weeks ahead and need to win 2 of the 3 remaining games to have any chance of making the finals. Would be making up the numbers I know but always better to be there than not. Absolutely vital we win over the Sharks as we will face a rampant feral mob coming fresh off the bye with nothing to lose.
Again, another four losses including little league, time for sole searching, what has the value been in the eastern states recruits this year, when the local boys have walked due to non development or encouragement, long long road ahead but the wallet will be openined once again instead of asking the local chaps to step up and given the opportunity, even more will leave, give young PICKETT another go as I see he beat his average possessions with seven this week must be due for another call up.

not sure about the 3 above, bristow was starting to look ok last year but injured most of this, maybe keep him, hassett has been ok, would he have been good in subi sides of the last few years?...maybe, but maybe might not have cracked a game, read i rate but is he committed enough for 12 pts & a big wage??? Lot of free pts there to get some quality to mix with some good 16’s & 14’s ...f all quality in the 18’s & ressies…
What was disappointing to me was a (hopefully just perceived) lack of enthusiasm. At 3/4 time, our whole season on the line, and the players were kicking the grass and looking like they wanted to be somewhere else. Was I the only one feeling any pain out there?
As a supporter I obviously have no idea what is happening in the player group, but fair dinkum, some of those players just shouldn’t be playing League.
How does a player like Read (who I rate highly) get to walk back into the team without having to have a run in the ressies? How does Campbell keep getting a game? I can’t see the justification? Wouldn’t have happened when Bunts was in charge… Jordan A-H. I’m sure is a nice fella but I cringe whenever he gets near the ball. Why isn’t Headland playing Ressies to get some fitness? Should we risk the chance to lose 4 premiership points by playing obviously unfit players?Poor old Webby runs himself into the ground week after week, I bet he can’t wait for this season to end.
Tilly, you hit it right on the head, there must be internal issues. I feel the coach must take the full blame along with the so called leadership of the team. I remember the days when we had a mid field.

Thats the key Temp, the midfield is MIA. Apart from Webby & Blech & the occasional flash by Ali there’s not much there. injuries have taken a toll with Bristow, Cockie, Forrest & Read missing for most of the season. These guys would have made a massive difference and probably got us to the finals which now seem a lost cause. I think we will get smashed next week by the ferals if we continue with the same rubbish we have dished up for the last 4 weeks. Still possible to get in but would need to big wins over EP & SF, can’t see it with this group.
Lots of changes and pain ahead for us, although there’s plenty of points to be freed up when you analyse the group of plodders we’ve picked up from interstate & other clubs this year. Campbell has been a massive disappointment and accept all the I told you so’s from other clubs, you were spot on, he is a complete waste of space. Lots of experience will be lost again at the end of the season with the likely retirements of, Ali, Webby, Newick, Keevo (work), Cossom (work). I thought Broardy would be a very strong chance for a late draft pick but his last 2 games have been as ordinary as the rest of the team. When you sit down and list the quality experienced players lost over the last 3 seasons it’s scarily obvious why we are struggling.
Need to recruit at least 1 quality forward and 3 good VFL type mid-fielders, use the locals to fill the rest of the gaps even if that means persisting with blokes who are not quite ready yet. The club needs to really work super hard in identifying some talent in the new areas that the club has acquired. The new junior dev bloke just announced by the club has a big job ahead of him and Subi supporters will have to draw on some of that stern patience we had to develop in the late 70’s early 80’s to get through the next 2 -3 years.
I guess the old saying rings true...after the Lord Mayor comes the chit cart...we’ve been spoilt with success in recent times but boy, are we in for a few years of chit from here.
I think there will be a massive turnover of the playing group over the next couple of years through natural attrition and hopefully some fairly honest assessments of individual’s ability. We need to keep the promising kids on-board and recruit some quality midfielders and key forwards.

Yep, spot on tilly. The will-to-win is not there for whatever reason - there’s no love anymore. I don’t mind losing, but when there’s not the necessary committment by some of the players - it is a worry.
It’s time for a clearing of the lockers, farewell the guys who are only part-timers, those who lack heart and let’s put some fresh new faces out there in 2011!
