East Fremantle Captain Kasey Green has announced that he will retire at the end of this season. Kasey has been a wonderful contributor for the Sharks over the past three seasons since retiring from the AFL.  He has played 118 games for the Sharks since his debut in 1999 as well as 54 matches with the West Coast Eagles and 39 with North Melbourne.

Hopefully the players will lift this week against Perth and in the games against Subiaco and Peel to ensure that we play finals in 2010 and give Kasey the send off he deserves.

Kasey has been terrific for EF. Very loyal and a top bloke to go with it.

Thanks for coming back to where it all started mate....it’s a pity others can’t do the same.

Well said the rock! KASEY GREEN plays every game like it’s his last he takes no prisoners and his leadership is first class. He leads by example and that reflects in the way a few of the the younger sharks attack the footy you are an inspirational captain. As one of the shark pit faithful you have given us great enjoyment over the years the way you crash the pack and then move the ball whether it by foot or by putting on a bone crunching sheppard from half back especially in the foundation day derby. THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES.

custodian2 I whole heartedly agree with you
kasey has been a very loyal servant for our club, before ,during and after his AFL career.
I have been involved as a volunteer at east fremantle for a lot of years as a trainer and in more recent years helping out in the property room.

listening to kasey talking to the team just prior to running out onto the ground shows the passion and commitment he has for the side.

I hope that he stays involved with the club next year maybe in an assistant coaching role.

Well done to a tough uncomprimising footballer who has made the most of what hes got, i was tipping Perth in an upset because i thought EF may have a come down after getting up for the derby, but i will change that now. Could be part of the incentive for a good Sept..
