Interesting to read the article by Jarman on the inclusion of Bollenhagen in todays paper. He considers him to young and immature to be playing at the AFL level. Is he telling Harvey and the Dockers coaching staff they don’t know the kid all that well?
Is Jars wanting him to remain at Perth,to try to grab a couple of wins before the end of the season!!
Though I must say I was a bit suprised to see him included this week, but then again he would be better than bringing back Schammer or Dodd.
Any one here seen him play?Is he worth a try this week?
All the best to young Bollenhagen, great to see Harvey showing faith in the young guy
He seems to try hard at Perth and kicks the vital goal when the side needs sumone to do the extraodinary!!
Good luck Justin
I have seen a bit of him and i am surprised he is making his debut this weekend.
His overall form at Perth this season has been patchy at best.
Kicks a nice goal but he never seems to stay in a game long, drifts in and out.
So is Jars right?Should he be playing this week?
Jars says he can’t win his own ball,if that is right I think he may struggle.
Maybe Harvey is testing out the young ones he is not sure about. He played Chrichton last week in a big tester.A game away from home,a top eight side,a full boddies side.Is he testing the mettle of these kids for the future?
Fyfe has been tryed and has passed the test with flying colours. Not sure if it showed up on tele last week but he copped a fair dinkum SMer last week near the interchange bench and I though,oh no the kids been killed. He jumped straight to his feet and applied a tackle in the next passage of play.He is going to be a real star this kid.
As I said before prefer to see these kids being given a chance, rather than go back to Dodd and Schammer.
Surely Jars is trying to deflect things away from his club and how bad its going. If the kid cant get his own football he would never have got drafted.
The bigger question is what is Jars doing to help this kid? Comments like he has put in the paper just show he doesnt know what he is on about. If the kid has to come back to Perth next week for whatever reason can you see him following Jars instructions to the letter??????

So what are you saying,no footballer hangs back for a kick??
I would imagine he got drafted because when he has the ball he looks the goods.
Theres no doubt he has ability but thats not what Jarman is questioning.
I must say he does hang back for a kick at wafl level.
Anchorman asked should he be playing this week and if you pick players based on form then no he shouldnt.
Just remember he is being promoted from a team that got absolutely flogged by over 20 goals in his last game.
Here are his stats for his last 3 games,10 kicks-3handballs,8 kicks-3 handballs,10 kicks-2 hanballs.
When Fyfe got a game he wasn’t setting the world on fire at Claremont, but he seems to be holding his own.
Great to see another youngster given a chance.

good work harvey, freo are playing w.c. people, the kids obviously been brought in to regain some form
I guess that’s why Harves is an AFL coach going somewhere and Jars is getting closer and closer to being not even a WAFL coach. The kid has played in front of a packed house, and kicked 2 goals in a huge win. Whilst it is clear he has a lot of work to do to get involved in the game more regularly how high will his confidence be ATM.
Good luck to JUSTIN on his effort and his future.I’m sure HARVES will look after him.I just didn’t think Justin’s form warranted his call up in the 1st place. But he’s grabbed his chance and would be unlucky to lose his spot now.
I thought the kid was very good.He kicked a couple, did some good things.I think he certainly has a future as a player.
Some are never going to set the world on fire at WAFL level but respond when the challenge is thrown to them to play at AFL level.I think guys like Fyfe,Crichton and now Bollenhagen have accepted the challenge.
I am not sure what Jars was on about, but seems at this early stage the kid had proved him wrong.
But one good game doesn’t make a season.
