Any chance young Shane Kersten could debut this weekend in a crucial derby encounter? With Freo and WCE coming off bad losses on the weekend, one has an inkling Wilson and Murphy could be lining up on opposing sides this weekend and quite possibly on each other!!!!!

Kersten kicked 6 on Sat, did well in the recent u/18 carnival......seems like a natural goal kicking type, be interested to see how Riccardiello fares up front for EF if selected.......big ask for him to debut as well in a crucial match......and then kick goals too. Riccardiello has only been recently moved up front for EF reserves and has responded with 10 goals in 2 games against the top two reserves sides in Claremont and EP.......

Kersten....or even McCarrey a focal point down one end, Riccardiello the opposing focal point down the other......injuries for both teams....SF on the up...EF on the slide....final four aspirations on the line...gee your gotta love the timing of a derby eh?......absolutely classic if you ask me........funny thing is the losing side whilst in 7th position(EP surely must hammer Peel) after this weekend is still a good chance for making the four!............fingers crossed a SF boy(Riccardiello) can bring the bacon home for EF instead of an EF boy(McCarrey) bringing the bacon home for SF!.......

Kerstens form since the 18s carnival 5 goals V WP and another 6 V Sub. Very hard to ignore his good form...IMO kid has got to be given an opportunity on his form in the past two games. Can anyone of the South posters or Subi’s give me an idea on his goal kicking form ie goals kicked from contested marks , leading to the right spots , defensive work in the forward line etc as I was unable to make the game on the weekend…

Also great to see young Jarrod Parry play well, I think there are couple of others in our ressies who like Parry will adjust to the tempo of league football if given an oppo. Unfortunatley it looks as though the league team are getting back into a bit of form, so they will have to bide their time.
Did McGrath make it through the whole match?? and how was Sam Fielding’s game??

There will be one forced change this week with young Stanford doing a hammy last week.
I have a feeling that Collica will take his place.
