Personally I think Knights has been pretty good for Essendon and is worthy of a contract extension It is astounding that Sheedy was sacked to be replaced by this bloke.

Sheedy “lost it” as a coach eons ago. Great mouthpiece and frontman for the code though

SHEEDS probably did reach the end,but the way he was TREATED to move him on was BLOODY DISGRACEFULL!

You’re right, no-one was going to stop him.  The downside now, is that some people will expect him to maintain a special standard.  Truth is, he had an outstanding day out that may come only once in a career.  Mind you, I won’t mind being wrong this time.  Anyway, he’ll still be a very good player though his career.
