Good article by JOHN TOWNSEND this morning in regards to EAST PERTH Naming 35 INAUGURAL LEGENDS in the Newly Launched HALL of FAME.

Names of CHAMPIONS just Peel off the Walls and Lockers from Bygone Era,including the Irrepressible MALCOLM GREGORY BROWN and RYAN TURNBULL.Many other names too Numerous for me to mention(I’ll leave LOYALS ROYALS here to WAX the LYRICAL on ALL their HEROES here)include -

KEN McAULLAY - Never saw him play, but Love thy Neighbor as they say.
TED"SQUARE’’KILMURRAY - MASTER of the Flick Pass. Why oh Why,did PERTH pass him over.
GRAHAM"POLLY"FARMER - Ditto with POLLY on the Boys from SISTER KATES.UNDOUBTED CHAMPION.
JOHN K WATTS - Can’t leave him out,or else I’ll get DRUMMED OUT of TOWN.WAFL LEGEND!
MAL ATWELL - Thank you EAST PERTH for Giving us MAL.LEGEND at 2 Clubs.
JACK SHEEDY - Ditto on MAL but just shades the abovementioned player as MR FOOTBALL and REVEREND JACK.
PHIL MATSON - 35 games played but as the SUPERCOACH 7 PREMIERSHIPS says it all.
FRED D BOOK - An OFFICIAL LEGEND for 46 Years MAGNIFICENT SERVICE and the Uncanny Ability for the LAUGHING CAVALIER to keep a STRAIGHT FACE.
HEC STREMPLE - Was it only 16 years?Felt like more for another OFF FIELD LEGEND who was literally part of the Furniture at LOTONS.

MEN of TRUE STATURE for not only EAST PERTH SUPPORTERS to MARVEL at but TRUE SUPPORTERS of WESTERN AUSTRALIAN FOOTBALL.

Royals(Guys and Girls) - I’ve BARELY SCRATCHED the Surface.I’ll leave the rest and many more for you to do Justice to.Maybe get you back here HERMAN and VICKI. wink

Good summation, Grassy, and a fine article by John Townsend in The West.  Unfortunately, I missed the function due to work, but am interested to see the full list of 35.  Will get back to you with who was unlucky to miss out when I see the full list.

Shame they didnt include Ted Kilmurray’s Sandover in the blue column at the bottom of the page that summarised the players careers.

Oops,I’m sure there’s room to Manouvre with an Online Edit and apology for the oversight. red face

Yeah, not such a bad list the 35 Fitz. Some of the guys I haven’t mentioned come from PHIL MATSON’s LEGENDARY 5 straight Teams.I have heard of some but not all and couldn’t do them justice. That’s why a guest post or 2 from old FOOTYGOSS ROYAL Favourites on here and your good self won’t go astray. wink

The EPFC produced a great booklet to commemorate the Hall of Fame, Grassy, so I’ll have a closer look at that and post my thoughts.  I don’t think anybody could begrudge the selection of any member of a Hall of Fame - in any sport, What generally provokes most discussion is those who miss out when there are only a finite number of places.  I believe there will be additions to the EP HoF over time.
