91.3 has got Broadcast rights alongside SBS for the Broadcast of all World cup games in english.
They will also have documentary’s x BBC on the world Cup.

A great coup by for WA listeners.

I am not a soccer fan but certainly follow the World Cup.
The car radio will be tuned in to 91.3(well it is now)

Well done to SPORT FM

Should make Minnow happy. Advertising dollars much needed by a
young station.

Pre World Cup game Australia v NZ 24 May MCG - crowd 55,000

Interesting game Aust V NZ… NZ made some pre game threats re their attack plan but Aus certainly proved to be the aggressive side in the end.
3 yellow cards and 1 NZ player carried off on a stretcher.

Ok we had a couple of key players out but not that impressed with our game.
If thats the best we can do against NZ cant imagine what Germany will do to us.

Final result Aust 2 NZ 1… Australian got the winning goal right on the siren as well.

All the best to both these sides in the world cup.
I have a feeling we will not perform as well as we did the last time.

Would love to watch the soccer, but it’s on just before my grass needs mowing so I decided to watch it grow - you know, something a little more exciting.

Strange they play Soccer on grass. Why dont you watch the grass grow while watching Australia play for their country as well.
Oh ok I understand you cant do 2 things at once..

Could always watch a reply of the Saints V Eagles till half time!. That was exciting and full of highly skilled action.!

Interesting BETFAIR add on the left of screen which shows odds for World Cup.
Didnt see Australian come up but then again I wouldnt be putting any money on them against these european/South american sides.

Here is the Players(TAB) odds for head to head and group wins etc etc etc

http://www.ozbet.com.au/UI/SportUI/SportEventPage.aspx?sportSeq=209

We will be struggling to do what we did last time as not as confident in the coach and a few of the key players are a lot older now and they are still in the side.
Still looking forward to the games and hopefully I am wrong.

Heres a site with some info at FIFA

Yep, might add that one to the Eagles 1/2 a game collection.

No worries I am glad you didnt say it was like watching paint dry as I would of had a problem with a comeback on that one.. Phew!

I am not a Soccer fan and the only involvement is hearing the Glory results on he news like many others.  But like many others when it comes to World cup it is something different. Bit like boxing(green) Olympics, Tour de France(cycling) etc etc where we are representing Australian.

Now whens that Tour de France staring up. Aussies have done well in Italy and USA.

The Aussies would want to play considerably better than they did this week. If they put up a performance like they did they will lose most games by 5 goals!! Dropping Scott Mcdonald from the squad is a big mistake but Pim doesn’t really seem to care.... he has another job after the world cup

I guess time will tell Xavier hey? Im not a soccor fan but i read somewhere yetserday than Mcdonald has got something like one goal from his last 16 appearances for Australia? I could be wrong but if that figure is accurate then he should not bloody get a game because as striker he is paid to kick goals.

Agreed his form for Aust has not been great but he has scored a significant number of goals for Celtic in the Scottish premier league this season. 16 games for Aust would probably be over a 3 or 4 year period.

McDonald struggles for Australia because of Verbeek’s lone striker formation. Scotty needs someone to work with up front.
