Watched the eagles today and was amazed at the amount of turnovers. A week in footy is along time.
have they improved ,will they make the 8. The defence looks shakey under pressure. Still a young midfield who will be good. and a good forward line .

Yep pretty ordinary. But far from the real season with all the extra bench players, the heat, the rested senior players etc.

I reckon we will improve slightly, and that should see us between 7th & 11th depending on how things go.. will be a bottleneck again at the end of the eight.

The gameplan is still rubbish, handball happy and shocking footskills Ive seen better in junior footy. The forward line is still a major worry. Why is Callum Wilson not getting a run ? In my opinion he is their best option at full forward, he looks a natural full forward and leads well. Also I still have my doubts on guys like ebert and scott selwood.  But very impressed with shuey he looks very good and is heaps better than masten , selwood and ebert. Also I know it was coxy’s first hitout for a while but looks to have not much physical strength got pushed around like a skiiny kid. I think Nic NAt will take over the no.1 ruck spot very soon.

I don’t agree with your point of view on Ebert and Selwood.  I think they’re going to be a beautys.  Yes the skills (?) were horrible and I can’t remember the last time Glass had a shocker like that.  Still, it’s only pre season stuff.  The forward line worries me a bit too.  Seems as though they’re having 2 bob each way.  For the last couple of years it has been an unsettled area.  For heavens sake, make a decision on full forward and stick with it.  All they’ve done is stuff the boys around.

Deb, he did disappear about halfway through last season. Magically re-appeared when Hawks beat Richmond in NAB1.

Be easy to have a Little SNIGGER(And Yes,I admit it.I did,Mutley like) cheese ) about the result.

Still,if WORSFOLD wants to break the Defensive Mindset his Team has had in years, good luck to him.Should use the remaining pre-season to Fine tune his Intentions and if he’s happy with developments,go with it.

Always disapointing to lose anything, but better to do it sooner(and a SHOCKER at that),rather than later.
