Firstly, I don’t know what any CDFC player gets payed, but I’d bet my left knacker NO ONE at CDFC gets “a six figure sum”, coach included.

Put yer left knacker in a jar then mate, I know what Norwood offered Ian Callinan and he didn’t even consider it to take up Kris ‘Brown paper bags’ Grant’s deal. A mate of mine played at CDFC and was struggling to come to a contract both parties were happy with. He left the meeting with five grand cash and played on. Fact.

What Callinan gets paid by CDFC, however you want to dress up the ‘benefits’, is still dwarfed by what North pay Damon White though. When you get people allied to the club claiming that North could show a $3M dollar profit if they wanted to, is there any wonder they can afford to pay players well into the six figures?

Anyway, it’s a Perth forum and Backwell is a receiver who’s past his use by date.

Maybe he wanted to stay at a premiership club and not go to a club that hasn’t had a real shot at a flag in ...........how long?? It may not of been about $ is what I’m saying.

You might consider him a RECEIVER SA Redleg,but we’d much rather him put 100% with SOMEONE beside SUBI and SOUTH and look like a WORLD BEATER..Preferably Us!
