Who played well? How did the recruits go? Who was rested? Any injuries? How did the group gel as a team?  .......and what was the score?

East Freo won by 25 points. 86 to 61 i think it was.
Ware left the game early with some sort of injury, Mcgough was solid without staring, McNamara was good also, i thought Cooyou up forward looks very promising good pace and a stong mark. Ciotti and Dalby were solid down back as was Stevens.
A promising start from the sharks, will be good to see how we go with our best 22. All is lookig good so far for the 2010 season.

Thanks GoSharks! Is Cooyou a small forward or a key position player? Pleased to see Ciotti and Dalby back from injury.  They are both talented players with with good pace and clean disposal.  I hope Ciotti doesn’t suffer any more injuries as he has had a horrendous run with them in recent seasons and that he fulfills his potential. A great young bloke!

Perhaps Ciotti could become that rebounding back pocket player Rankin and Dobson were so good at. Hopefully Ware’s injury is minor, would be interested to see who kicked EF goals...defensively and thru the middle we are more than competitive...up front is the worry. Was that Stevens as in Koby? or Andrew Stephens?....I reckon Andrew Stephens could have a break out year this year for EF.....

I have “googled” Rhys Cooyou and the only info I found was that he was the “Player’s Player” for his team in the Geraldton Touch Rugby Competition.  From his photo he looks a bit like the former Docker’s player “The Prince of Pockets”, hopefully his disposal is a lot better.
