Experienced quartet Brett Robinson, Tim Geappen, Tallan Ames and Ben Colreavy have been added to Swan Districts’ leadership group.

Geappen, Robinson, Ames and Colreavy will join Wayde Twomey and Matthew Spencer alongside newly-announced captain, Josh Roberts.

All seven players were brought into the leadership group with an eye to the future, the club expecting them to be involved for a number of seasons beyond 2010.

Coach Brian Dawson said Robinson, Geappen, Ames, Colreavy, Twomey, Spencer and Roberts had the experience and necessary leadership qualities to help strengthen the club.

“There is an expectation, on our part, that they can continue to evolve in their respective leadership roles and put their own stamp on the group going into the future,” Dawson said.

“The leadership group bounce off each other well, on and off the ground, and we look forward to what they will bring to the playing group this season.”

Geappen has been one of the stars off the black and whites pre-season campaign, with recruit Tom Roach on a restricted program due to a bruised heel.

Roach is the son of ex-Richmond forward Michael Roach and played 11 games with the Tigers in three seasons.

The 24-year-old has joined Swan Districts after playing in consecutive premierships with VFL side North Ballarat.
Meanwhile ex-Swans defender Liam McGuire has joined East Fremantle after playing in a premiership side with Bunbury team Carey Park.
