What do other SF people think of the collection of smalls and talls that are shaping up for 2010.

Not sure if we have filled the small vacancies left by Bell, Farmer, Smithers, Malseed, Teague, Ugle, Gilmore, Street, Matera, Young Collard and young Bairstow.

Recruits so far are Mcarrey and Cornell, both talls and Jarrod Winter who played only a handful of games a few years ago in the league side.

I’m really worried about the spread of midfielders available to us. May have to shuffle a few around I reckon.

The talls and KPP for me are outstanding, maybe a little too good with a few names playing in the 2’s from the beginning of the season.

These are my two main groups of smalls and talls.

Smalls
Miller, McGrath, T. Adams, R. Adams, Fielding, Wilkie, Bairstow, A.Hams, K. Hams, Guglieamana, Palumbo, North, Amato, Winter, Foster and Seigert.

Talls
Wilson, MCarrey, Murphy, Mugumbwa, Cornell, Delmenico, Graham, Hunt, Hall, Bossong, Head, Phillips, Kelly, Mark Miller, Groenenburg, Thornton.

Think we will still have a pretty goo side, a good solid bunch of 32 blokes there but I don’t think we wil have the midfield dominance we have enjoyed in recent times but hopefuly enough run from half back to get the footy moving forward.

Corey Deolio seems to be very important up forward as our only genuin small forward. Hopefully the trip up to the NT will bring a couple of speedy fellas who love a goal.

Agreed Doggy, our midfield looks a bit thin without Belly & Smithers.  Our depth will be tested if we get a few injuries to our smalls.  Our back six will be much similar to that of last year’s & looks pretty solid.  Our forward line is good & will be strengthened with the inclusion of Wilson and/or Murphy & our ruck is solid with Graham & pinch hitters of Delmenico & Gumby to assist.
One or two speedy midfielders wouldn’t go astray.  Don’t think we’ll be as strong as last year but we should be in the mix of the top 2 or 3.

Spot on Doggie with you assessment of the above. Tall’s wont be a problem. From what I saw @ the intraclub on Saturday, there maybe a few players playing in some different positions throughout the year....

Looks like Delmenico (or someone who was wearing number 45) will be used in a number of different positions. On Saturday this guy played up fwd, down back, on the wing, but NOT in the ruck. Looks like Graham, Cornell & Hall will share those duties this year. Not sure who it was, could have been Hall I suppose, but thought it was Delmenico at the time.

If we can pick up 1 or 2 quick smalls from the NT I think we will be all right in that area.
