Heard from a caller on SEN this morning that Palmer has reinjuried his knee and will be out for this year yesterday. Any truth in the rumour?

Apparently just a knock to the knee and told to ease off but is walking around ok. Still sounds like a bit of a set back for him.

Rat, a mate of mine was at the session that he copped the injury. It was about two weeks back (two weeks tomorrow, actually). It was the same leg that was injured previously.

He was sure it was serious - Palmer looked shattered apparently.

But some others with him thought it was’t too bad, and the news later that night and next day was that there was nothing wrong.

Still, you never know what news could be getting covered up. Though with still 7-8 weeks til the season starts there is plenty of time for him to get over something minor.

Hawksta quotes to check for accuracy at the end of 2010 season:

“Flag is ours next year, fully fit and unbeatable except by a stray cat maybe if there lucky, but all in all i cant really see who else will be able to challenge us!”

“the Dockers are the team to watch from the west next year not the budgies and their incompetant players and coaching”

“Others will improve more than the eagles, north and port to name a few”

I think you will find that it is the same knee he hurt a few weeks ago.The club had further scans an cleared him of damage.
I am sure I have seen him training when the have done a story of him on TV.
Maybe the Vics are not getting the carrier pigeons there on time now days.

I think the sensible option for the kid is to be eased back into footy with a season atleast with EF smile ......or at perhaps 5 games minimum.....get his conditioning back and his confidence back playing in a less stressful environment.....christ EF are definitely a midfielder or 5 short eh?

Same goes for Kerr, and Masten. Need some time in WAFL to develop their games under Woey.
