I guess if there’s any positives from yesterday it is the fact we made the GF with a number of guys who were at the end of their careers and obviously not the same force they once were. Smith, Pickett, Mapleston, Webb maybe...all fantastic 2 or 3 years ago but struggling these days. That suggests to me we still have a core group who are very capable of having an impact next year and keeping us towards the top end of the ladder. Guys like Dennis-Lane, Keevo, Horse, Forrie, Hildo, Parksy, Benny Randall, Broady, Newie, Rix and co should all be there again and add in a couple of recruits up forward ..I think it shouldnt be all doom and gloom. For mine, I reckon we did pretty well to make the GF given the number of players who failed to have a consistent impact throughout the entire season.
