Well its on again. The SWFL colts seem to dominate the competition with 4 championships in a row maybe they have 5 in a row i lost count. The League is more open but SWFL and AVON usually are the favourites. However I herd the SWFL colts lost to the PFL Cavs in thier annual match (warm-up match for SWFL) by about 5 goals.

Who will take it out this year?

Flash u are right the Peel Cavs did win by 26 points in a very tough & good game of footy from all reports. So maybe SWFL may not be all conquering this year, they could also have been just saving players for Landmark too!!!.

yeah true just trying out some other kids who they might be considering taking along. I also read that the SWFL colts have won 8 straight titles (Westfarmers) in a row.

Great to see that Goldfields knocked off SW in the league today.Seeing that they came off a long bus trip and only arrived at the ground 30 mins before bouncedown it was a great effort.Well done.

Surely they would come down on the Wednesday like all the other teams, why leave it to the last minute or as in this case as you say last 30m, Does not make any sense.

Uppers bounced back with a first up win and will be hard to beat again.

Goldfields tripped up at last hurdle with Avon sneaking into GF, whilst Uppers narrowly beat South West who went winless.

Sounds like you are more confident about the Upper boys for the final!

Not too familiar with Avon players, but Uppers have Simon Duckworth , Mark Gilhome, Shaun Robinson, Bryan Hardie, Rowan Astbury who all have WAFL experience and are top flight Country footballers

A lack of interest from the majority of SWFL best players (probably most of the Paid players) has ended up kicking them in the ass with relegation to B-grade next year. Personally i think this carnival should only be for country (LOCAL) players only. Perth (paid) players shouldn’t be considered for this carnival.

AmFam totally agree, perhaps have to be at a local club within the district for at least 1 full season before being considered to play at the carnivial

Would not have made too much difference to Uppers, all players I mentioned above are in 2nd season minnimum with their clubs and only 1 of them is travelling from city.

South West colts 6th title in a row added more flame to the fire in the South Western Times that a Bunbury or South West team should be introduced to the WAFL colts competition. However if your going to add a colts team you would need to add a resys and a league side.

I know how againist WAFL members who support Peel, swans and east perth would be outranged by this as this is were ALL thier GOOD players come from.

Its only a matter of time South West gets a WAFL club, there is no room in perth or metro areas, It stops the Bye, SANFL,VFL and TSL all have clubs which are out of the metro region, i believe the clubs should stop having a sook about travel. State soccer, State netball, State Basketball competitions all have a south west side and it couldnt hurt clubs to travel twice a week in a year down south.

Which team/s are you referring to in the SANFL?
