aaahhh the joy of H grade footy. I have no doubt that our side will give our E ressies a run for their money. That’s just the way amateur footy is. A lot of players from our side could easliy play higher grades but choose not too for one reason or another. I guess it all depends on how many quality players want to run around in the lower grades and that will determine how good your side is. We are lucky that we have a few that can play higher that just want to play on a weekend and not train.

CBC won by about 10 goals. Probably a bit more. I didn’t look at the scoreboard too much after it got to double figures....

Must be good to have the luxury of dropping blokes down to try and get a finals spot and not have to make do with the 35 blokes you have. Even though people arent happy that we only have one side blah blah if we get injuries or have a must win game we cant call on guys from higher up to help us out.

CBC this week (I think??) who were lucky against us last time then the big one NF both games are win able.

leek, im guessing you were referring to EF with their win over CBC… I can only talk about NF but we dont look to drop blokes from 4s down to boost our 5’s team, CBC would be in a similar position with their 4s also doing well, clubs wont jeopardise a higher grade for the sake of their 5th team

No I mean in general Im talking about teams whos other sides are not going to make finals who drop back to push for finals. It spits on the guys who played all year who got the side to where it is only to lose their spot so someone can drop back.

I know NF are strong from top to bottom side so wouldnt expect them to fiddle around with their sides.

Danlington how you guys looking for the big one in two weeks time?? Under lights at a top notch ground should be a cracker.

Leek, not sure how the boys are shaping up as i havent been at the last couple of games. The club as a whole has had a few injuries so it flows right down to H grade with players being bought up the grades to fill in. Should be a very good game though

Have to agree whole heartedly with danlington . Most 5th sides really struggle at this stage of the year and it must be even more prominent for a club that has 2 colts sides.  CBC would not have been able to field a side in a number of games if it was not for an overflow of colts willing to play.
Was a bit disapointing to se Noth Freo only start with 2 on the bench on Saturday night danlington , hope things pick up soon for you.
I Think Rossy will touch up CBC this week which will make a ripper of a game in a fortnight

Very true danlington HW had six changes to it league side last saturday which does hurt the grades below and it is that time of the season when sides struggle , but as we edge closer to the finals players seem to find that bit extra and hopefully available numbers should improve. Whoever manages their list best will always give themselves the best chance in the finals and at the moment its still wide open as to who will finish where. So good luck to all numbers will prevail.

I can tell you that East Freo’s H grade has been pretty much the same fellas all year with the exception of 1 or 2

Who really cares about who drops players to H grade or why is the only team of a club playing H grade and not higher. It doesn’t matter. Well all play each other give it our best and walk off at the end of the game for a beer. After all.......It’s only H grade. We are not playing for sheep stations.

I love the fact that retirees can play footy with the young bucks trying to make a name for themselves at a club and play the higher grades. It’ enjoyable, otherwise I wouldn’t be playing.

Come finals time it will all even out and we will have a great series......and really that’s all footy is about in this grade.

AND Danlington start playing some shit games. we need you in our back line. E ressies don’t appreciate you like we do.......wink
