Phil Scott Colts

Last season saw one of the closest seasons in the A colts division of the WAAFL now known as the Phil Scott Colts. It was won by Trinity Aquinas who beat Wesley Curtin in a tight Grand Final. CBC finished 3rd followed by Collegians and Nth Beach rounding out the top 5. MtLawley were a very close up 6th winning 9 games although should of been 10 wins, having 1 game taking off them for fielding 17 players for 1 minute of the match when apparently Uni rolled up with 16 players despite belting them by 65pts. Nth Freo won 8 games Uni 7 and Whitfords who finished in 9th winning 6 games. Maddington were a fair way off last not recording a victory.
The 2012 season sees a vastly different competition with the 2nd and 3rd teams Wesley Curtin and CBC dropping to the B colts division as their league sides struggled in to 9th and 10th positions respectively in 2011. Hammersley Carine and Swan Athletic have been promoted into the A Grade competitions. If Im right Swan Athletic finished 5th in the colts and were knocked out in the Elimination Final. Hammerlsey Carine finished 9th winning 2 maybe 3 games for the entire 2011 season.
I see Swan Athletic having more of an upside than Hammersley in the Colts comp for 2012. Reason being Hammersley Carine are possibly competing with Nth Beach and Whitfords who are more established A Grade clubs for colts players. All clubs are within a Tory of each other leaving the possibility all 3 clubs could have just an even spread of talent.
Nth Freo could be the big improver in the Colts as fringe East and Sth Freo colts might be wanting to play with an A Grade club. They tend to be a very strong colts side when CBC are in B grade.
Mt Lawley were quite a young side so if there players remain they could be an Improver in 2012.
Trinity Aquinas possibly a new look team as most of their Grand Final team from 2010 and 2011 are now senior footballers. Collegians I am not sure about but had some handy footballers, if they remain they could give it a shake as quite a few of their colts played League football in 2011. Whether they are to old for colts in 2012 remains a query. University will definetley improve as they were a young team who most probably will remain together. Maddington had a couple of handy footballers but just not enough of them they may improve slightly, just takes a win and they have improved.
Anyway looking forward to anyones thoughts on the 2012 A Colts Division Season ahead.

C2 Tips and News

With the Season not all that far away, Whats your Tips?

I know it hard to say at this time but have some fun and have a go at it!!!!

After last year results you would think the 2 sides Mosman Park and Gosnells coming down will have somethink to prove, A few mates of mine play down at Mossies and they have said training is excellent and will be a very well drilled side this year unlike the last 2..Gosnells have reported to have picked up a few. good ground and club rooms cant see why players wouldnt want to play there!!

Canning,Quinns,Bassenden just depends on if they retain there lists. Bassenden most seasons gets a few from SD!!

Kenwick,Cockburn,Lynwood!! Need to keep there list and pick up players, Heard Kenwick is looking pretty handy with a few new blokes on the cards.

Manning and Belmont. Just seen on here that belmont are thinking of staying in C3. Pood effort if they did!! Manning Depends if they keep there list and add to it..

My Ladder
Gosnells
Kenwick
Mosman Park
Canning
Bassenden

Cockburn
Manning
Lynwood
Quinns
Belmont

Mosman Park and Kenwick to fight it out!
Belmont to lose a few players when talk of them staying in c3 gets going!! Straight back down…
Quinns. Well what can i say.

Wish all the teams good luck this year! Look forward to seeing you all play!!!!
