2010 Footygoss Tipping Competition

It’s almost that time again.

Just getting in early so everyone who would like to participate in the 2010 Footygoss Tipping Competition has time to do so.

Unless someone else would like to run it this season, I will be only too happy to do the honours.

Started by WhiteDM, this will be the fourth season of the competition. Previous winners were: 2009: SFFC4ever....2008: Akus....2007: oos.....2006:oos.

There is no need to register, this is just to let you know that it’ll be on again. Just put in your tips before the the bouncedown of the first game each weekend.

It would be nice if everyone were to put tips in each week, but just to clear the air before acceptances, if you don’t get your tips in by the first bounce you will get either the home winners or the away winners, whichever is less.

The reason for this is to ensure that there is a disadvantage in not putting tips in. It was originally away sides, but often on a round of upsets the ones who didn’t put tips in got an advantage over those who do the right thing.

Last year I was fortunate enough to receive grand final tickets for the winner. While not in a position to promise anything at this stage, I remain hopeful through our friends at Footygoss to organise something.

Heard on radio that The Worst will reveal the top 40 players in the WAFL tomorrow. Will it be full of South Freo blokes and how many Peel players make it?

Any thoughts on what our round 1 team will be? i haven’t seen many scratch matches this pre season so im not sure who will be in the team for round 1.

I dont get it! How come Schammer can play for the tigers as can Swift and Wilkes? can anyone explain the rules as in why these afl players can play but our other afl listed players cant???

I have a question mark about the back line but the centre line and forward line looks damn good! Fyfe Foster and Browne would have to be one of the best midfields in the league, centre half forward line is very strong and forward line looks even better with Brabazon added.

Surprised Crawf didnt get a go and that Yu Ross and Starling are ahead of him on the bench. Side could be changed though.

How much does the WAFL make from the AFL

Quick question for you guys, how much do the WA AFL sides contribute to the WAFL in terms of money.

In SA, the cows and powder puffs pay to use footy park, as it’s owned by the 9 SANFL clubs. I believe last year $800k was divided up between the 9 clubs from the AFL coffers ( I’ll stand corrected ).
Does this also happen in WA?
