Cameron Lewis James Kickett pleaded guilty to disorderly behaviour and going armed in public with intent to cause fear.

Sgt Elliott said Kickett was armed with a machete and a metal wheel brace during the fight and brandished the weapons at the rival family.

Kickett’s defence lawyer said Kickett resided in Huntingdale with an aunt and was subject to a court-imposed curfew, but had visited Northam that weekend for his mother’s birthday.

She said his mother’s car was smashed overnight and he went with his father to confront the rival family, but did not intend to use the weapons he was carrying.

The 20-year-old, who plays with the Swan Districts Football Club, also appeared in court on two unrelated stealing charges.

Magistrate Michael Wheeler fined Kickett $1000 for carrying the weapons, and $500 for the disorderly conduct.

He revoked Kickett’s bail for the two stealing charges and remanded him in custody.

Hi All,
well is it not amazing that 3 or 4 rejects at the home of the black and whites can generate so much bad feeling. they have stood for the board on more than one occasion and have been beaten soundly on all occasion. Their campaign is run by one of the wives and I am dinky Di about. she has been like a little ferret at previous AGM’s running pen and paper in hand to tell the boys what to say. she was missing in action this time but her understudy was there trying to cause as much havoc as she could. Perhaps she could teach the her boys how to put on a bit of LIbby after another failed attempt by the guys to get on the board. Oh and I forgot probably one of the worst Directors of all time that quit then wanted back and is now full of such venom and full off bull is trying to upset the status-quo.

just remember all of you knockers, this is the board that has brought you Premierships in all grades, and brought the club back from the brink of disaster. if you took the time to listen you would have heard that they have a house to sell which will if not clear all debts, it will go close, Swans have other assets that would clear the debt. As to the question of Other in the annual report, yes it is a large figure, but do you really want to know what 200 other items are, toilet rolls, fly spray etc get real.

So the WAFC are going to investigate us, well that was happening anyway, told us that long ago.
why don’t we investigate the WAFC and Peel for approximately the last 20 years for masquerading as a football club and the WAFC for funding them. seems they lost buckets loads of mnoney not long ago and WAFC pulled them out of the poo again.

I have said enough, give the board a break, they are volunteers too and have families.

make sure you were a paid for last year and come to the next meeting, or be quiet. always the same the ones with biggest mouths are not even members of any WAFL club.

Here is the breakdown of Swans fixtures next year

South Fremantle 2 Home 1 Away
Peel 2H 1A
Claremont 1H 2A
Perth 1H 2A
East Perth 1H 1 Country
Subiaco 1H 1A
East Fremantle 1H 1A
West Perth 1H 1A

There are 2 byes in the first three rounds then 13 consecutive games broken only by the State game. I suspect also that one of Swans home games ( East Fremantle in July?) will be shifted to the North West as per the last couple of years.

I thought I would put this on the Swans site, seeing there hasn’t been a post there for nearly 3 weeks!
This has been my first season of posting on Footygoss and I would like to give my overall impressions for what they are worth

1. What a great site! I have really enjoyed reading and putting my 2 cents worth in on the variety of topics in the Footy Forum

2. A vast majority of the posters are passionate about footy and their clubs and its been great to read their contributions. A small minority come on here to snipe and get personal but I think they are found out very quickly ( e.g that Joondy halfwits character)

3. Most of the banter was great and it really adds to the attraction of the site. Obviously a number of the posters know each other personally outside the forum and you can see the repartee that has developed. Again a small percentage of the banter went over the line ( e.g name calling, swearing) but this is what moderators are for.

4. One small irritation were some topics that were either hijacked or flogged to death and they got down to a bun fight between supporters about how good their particular club is in attendances or any other factor. Now i don’t mind a good old stoush about whose club is better but it got a bit boring when people continually used statistics to bash other clubs and these arguments were repeated ad nauseum on many threads and some discussions degenerated into abusive conversations between 2 or 3 people. Someone should say – STOP guys and get back to the topic! Know this can be difficult when people have a steam up on a particular issue

5. One small improvement would be if the moderator could generate a couple of hot topics every week or a poll that we could all contribute to, so that we could keep the footy forum going when people aren’t creating new topics themselves, just a thought

6. A few of the long termers on here have also commented that the forum seems dead compared with previous years. Does Footygoss have a strategy to market what it can offer to people in clubland? If not maybe it should because you may get a whole lot more grassroots footy people using this fantastic site to promote club events and discuss footy generally

Once again thanks all on footygoss for an enjoyable 2011. Thanks particularly to the moderators, I am taking a bit of a break but will be back refreshed in plenty of time for the 2012 season! See you all next year.
